When can I use a pump

I’m 2 months post Da Vinci RP surgery and I’d like to know when I can start using a pump. Ive read this is an essential part of recovery of erectile function and I’ve bought a Bathmate Hydro 7 but I’m a little worried I might cause damage by using it at my early stage of recovery. The consultant prescribed Sildenafil at the first post review (week 6) but did not mention the use of pumps etc.

I started at 10 weeks post op with no problems. Do you not have a specialist Uro nurse or ED nurse ?

Thanks Chris. The consultant booked me in to see the ED nurse but I’m waiting for confirmation of the appointment. I think I will wait 10 weeks unless I get to see the nurse and she advises otherwise. I’m feeling fit and walk 1.5 miles every day but there’s no point rushing my recovery!
