Anyone heard of Parasternal Short Axis Scanning in the prostate world PSAX ? Apparently soon available in Liverpool and only one other area of the country. Will be effective for low psa scanning whereas PET recommended at psa >3.
I can only find mention of heart valve scans using this technique !

Ha ha ha - if your prostate is up near your sternum, you're f*****d my friend

Parasternal = near the sternum :-) that's why your search only produces heart valves

Have you got a link to a report or article about it?

Thanks for your input Lyn ......
A certain member , like your John , has had a very slow post op PSA rise from 0.06 to 0.09 and has been told to wait until 0.1 or above and then he will get a PSAX scan only available in two centres which exceeds PET capability , especially at low psa values.
I simply looked up PSAX and that was all I could find thank you very much ....
