18 years with metastatic prostate cancer – operation number three, but no good news for me – the end

That's a hell of a post.    You write well you could tell us more about you, whether you're a follower of Johnny Rotten.  I can't say I was at the time but sometimes he's interesting.

David,

Thank you for updating us us on your situation although it makes sad reading. I am very sorry your prognosis is not better after so much you have gone through to treat this rotten disease. I hope you will prove your consultants wrong and live well beyond their upper assessed time but also that you can still enjoy some things even if this means being heavily dosed up with pain killers.

Thank you Peter. I do like a little bit of punk. Music with guitars is my thing. Love Radiohead.

Thanks Barry. I’ve realised that coming off the opiates is not something I have to worry about now, and am letting fentanyl do it’s work.

Thanks Barry. It’s disappointing, but I’ve been preparing myself for a while now.

Hi David

So sorry to read the latest update, you’ve thrown nearly everything at this. Did the guys at Windsor mention Actinium 225 for the bones or Thorium 227? Which I believe is on trial.

I hope you have a pain free Xmas and a wonderful time with your family.

all the best

Roy

Thanks Roy. It was discussed but they couldn’t do it at the time - so I would have had to stop and go over to Germany.

Hi

Just reading your posts and I’m incredibly sorry that you find yourself in the position you are. Your posts are honest and frank and we all appreciate how brave you are. None of us want to be on here but find ourselves with this strange bond with others we never knew before. When someone posts something on the forum that touches others it’s a very powerful thing, and you have certainly done that and I only speak for myself that I’ve been inspired, saddened and touched by your journey and your bravery.

Have to the most incredible Xmas and hold tight to the ones you love

take care

Carlos
